Recent Intercontinental Park Lane Review: "The location of this hotel is ideal, with a view out of large room windows overlooking Hyde and Green Parks, as well as Wellington Arch, although the front view faces on to Hamilton Place resulting in a view with buildings across the street rather than a park view. Our room had a view of the parks and the arch and was oustanding. While it overlooks the busy Park Lane and the adjacent roads the rooms have virtually no interference from the outside traffic noise. The Tube stop is a stone's throw away on the Picadilly line at the Hyde Park Corner stop, which is ideal for those coming from Heathrow, and an easy connection from other lines connecting from stations with trains from Gatwick. Bus service is available right at the corner of the hotel's location. The hotel is also located on the corner of Picadilly Street, with numerous shops of various kinds, including bookshops, food, pharmacies, restaurants, etc., which makes the hotel handy for numerous needs. The Hard Rock Cafe sits just around the corner if you are interested. The staff service was inpecable. We arrived early in the day before our room was ready (which we expected), but the hotel is fully prepared to handle luggage and certain other needs of early arriving guests, unlike some hotels that act like they don't know quite what to do with you when you arrive early. We were made to feel like our early arrival was virtually anticipated and planned for. The hotel is fully staffed from the doormen to front desk help, to maid service, and the multilintual concierge staff was frequently of help. They seemed to know everything, or would find out for you quickly. The ground floor check-in, along with the large adjoining lounge area are beautifully kept, with fresh flowers and attentive staff. The room was outstanding. Large, very clean, beutiful en suite bath. We were contacted immediately upon arrival to make sure we had enough towels for our the third person in our group, our granddaughter. Our reservation stated"
